Here is a cute and simple home accent. I ended up having a 72" Round tablecloth that I bought when we had a round dining table but now that we have a rectangular table it seem like such a waste.
Yes Saphira photo bombed my yet again, she is such a silly dog and for whatever reason she feels the need to be in every blog post. But back to the spiderweb valances.
So I decided to cut the tablecloth into four quarter pies, just fold in half, cut, then in half again and cut. Run a quick stitch across the fold, I did about an inch and a half to two inch fold. Just big enough to run a curtain rod through.
Then I bought a couple tension rods (which I bought at the Daiso for about a dollar each) and ran the tension rod through the pocket that was created and viola! A neat spiderweb valance, its great in a doorway or window. Double it up for a double door entry.
I picked up my tablecloth at Ross so it was only about 5.99 plus tax, making this a very inexpensive Halloween decoration.
