I am super excited today, after having so much fun cleaning (not!) to find out that my new crochet hooks finally arrived in the mail. What a great pick me up, right?
I have been using Boye and Susan Bates hooks since I first learned to crochet. I think my grandmother would have been so happy to know that I still crochet for one but have taken it to the level of being one of my favorite hobbies.

There were days when I didn't think I would ever learn how to do a basic double crochet let alone finish a project, since I was taught making doilies and with each mistake having the whole project ripped out and forced to start again. But I kept going and finally ordered a really nice set of hooks.
Tonight is my first run with my new Clover Amour Crochet Hooks, just looking at them has me beaming. So I am going to try my new hooks on my current project a super cute Toothless dragon as well as my Totoro teapot cozy, coming soon....
For any My Neighbor Totoro enthusiast I am working on a second Totoro teapot cozy for a friend, I will post more pictures once I start working on it. But until then here is a sneak peak at my Totoro teapot cozy....
